China has rejected the objection raised by India over construction of Diamer-Bhasha Dam. According to Beijing, economic cooperation between China and Pakistan is aimed at promoting economic development and improving the well-being of the local population.
That India under Narendra Modi in particular is inimical to Pakistan's economic interests is a fact. New Delhi's so-called or frivolous objection emanates from its agenda that seeks to create a Hindu rashtra in India and become a regional hegemon. India also seeks to bully both China and Pakistan mainly because of its increasing closeness with the US. Little does it, however, know that its nefarious designs shall never translate into realities. This mega hydropower project will reach completion in accordance with its timelines. Come what may.
