LAHORE: The city police have decided to depute over 1,000 police officials for the security of 12 designated cattle markets in the provincial capital. "Over 1,000 cops including four SPs, five DSPs, eight SHOs and 48 upper-subordinates would perform their duties around 12 designated cattle markets to ensure security and implementation of Punjab government's issued corona SOPs," said Deputy Inspector General of Police (Operations) Ashfaq Khan while talking to reporters on Tuesday.

He added that the areas where those cattle markets would be set up include Lakhodher, LDA City, Pine Avenue Road, Sabzi Mandi Kahna, DHA N Block, Ring Road Gajjumata, Saggian Bridge, NFC Society, Haveli Markaz Sundar Road Raiwind, Shah Pur Kanjran and Hazrat Usman Ghani Road Saggian.
