As per details, the OGDCL as the operator (95 percent) and Government Holding (Private) Limited (5%) has discovered gas and condensate from its exploratory well Sial-1, which is located in district Hyderabad, Sindh province.
The blocks have been awarded after competitive bidding, on the basis of work units committed by different E&P Companies in the Block Bidding Round 2020 arranged by the Government.
Based on open hole logs data, the well was tested at a rate of 1.6 Milion Standard Cubic Feet per Day (MMSCFD) of gas and 12 Barrels per day (BPD) of condensate through 32/64" choke at Well Head Flowing Pressure of 190 Pounds per square inch (PSI) from Samanasuk Formation.
The company contributed around 47 percent, 29 percent, and 36 percent towards the country’s total oil, natural gas, and Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) production respectively during the period under review.
It is the third remarkable discovery of the OGDCL in district Kohat, where as per the initial results 1.6 Million Cubic Feet per Day (MMCFD) gas and 12 Barrel per Day (BPD) condensate could be produced.
The Joint Venture of Baratai Block comprising OGDCL as operator (97.5%) and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Oil & Gas Company Limited (KPOGCL) (2.5%) has discovered Gas & Condensate from its exploratory Well Siab-1, announced the company on Friday.
As per details, ODGCL, Mari Petroleum Company Limited, and Saif Energy Limited has made a gas and condensate discovery from its exploratory efforts at Togh Bala Well No. 01.
