The total book value for the eight parks is more than 21 billion roubles ($272.16 million), Ingka Investments, the investment arm of the world's biggest furniture retailer, said in a statement.
Ingka Group has invested 2.5 billion euros ($2.97 billion) in renewable energy since 2009 and recently surpassed a target to produce as much renewable energy as the energy it consumes in its own operations.
“Overall, the target of increasing the share of clean renewable energy including hydropower in the country is 60% in the next 10 years,” he said this while sharing his view with the participants of webinar ‘Impact of COVID on Energy Sector of Pakistan: Opportunities and Challenges,’ held by Sustainable Development Policy Institute (SDPI) here on Wednesday.
Pakistan had a total power generation capacity of 38,719MW as of 30 June 2020, solar PV accounts for 530MW, holding a share of 1.36% of total power generation capacity in the country.
A number of amendments have been made into the act, Section 64C and 65C have been omitted, and after Section 65E, Section 65F and Section 65G have been inserted.
